Why isn’t my manuscript live?
Why isn’t my book live?
If your book is not live yet, it may still be going through the publishing or review process.
Books do not appear publicly immediately after submission. They must first be reviewed by the PubliWrite team to make sure the files, cover, book details, format, and content meet the platform requirements.
Your book may still be under review
After you submit your book, it enters PubliWrite’s review process.
The standard review timeline is usually 3–5 business days.
During this time, your book may not be visible to readers yet.
Your book may require changes
If the PubliWrite team finds an issue during review, your book may be marked as requiring changes.
This can happen if there is an issue with:
- The manuscript or interior file
- The cover
- The book title or author name
- The book description or metadata
- The selected format
- Print settings
- Pricing
- Content guidelines
- Copyright or permission concerns
If changes are required, check the review feedback from your account and update the submission before resubmitting.
Your book details may be incomplete
Your book may not be able to go live if important details are missing or incorrect.
Before submitting, make sure that:
- Your personal details are completed
- Your KYC verification is completed, if required
- Your book title is correct
- Your author name or pen name is correct
- Your cover is uploaded
- Your manuscript or interior file is complete
- Your price and format settings are correct
- Your book description, language, and genre are filled in correctly
There may be a technical issue
In some cases, your book may not go live because of a technical issue during upload, submission, or processing.
For example, the file may not have uploaded correctly, the manuscript may not open, or the submission may not have been completed.
If you see an error message or something does not look right, take a screenshot before contacting support.
What should I do next?
If your book is not live yet:
- Check whether the book is still under review.
- Check your email for any update from PubliWrite.
- Go to your account and review the book status.
- Check whether changes are required.
- Make sure your book details and files are complete.
- Resubmit the book if corrections were requested.
