What should I check before submitting my book?
What should I check before submitting my book?
Before submitting your book for review, make sure your account, manuscript, book details, files, and settings are complete and correct.
This helps reduce delays during the review process and increases the chances that your book can be approved without requiring additional changes.
Account details
Before submitting your book, make sure your account is ready for publication and payments.
Check that:
- Your personal details are complete
- Your author name or pen name is correct
- Your KYC verification is complete
- Your payment information is correct, where applicable
Completing these details helps prevent delays with publication, payments, and future withdrawals.
Manuscript
Before submitting, make sure your manuscript is complete and ready for publication.
Check that:
- The full manuscript is included
- Chapters and sections are in the correct order
- The title and author name are correct
- There are no missing pages or sections
- The text is clear and consistently formatted
- Page breaks appear where needed
- Images, tables, or special elements display correctly
- You are using the correct final version
The checks you need to complete may depend on how your manuscript was created or uploaded.
If you started writing in Creator Studio

Make sure that:
- All chapters are complete
- Chapter titles are formatted consistently
- Paragraph spacing looks correct
- Page breaks appear where expected
- Images and decorative elements display correctly
- The manuscript has been previewed
- Any comments, notes, or unfinished sections have been resolved

- Chapter titles and headings are correct
- Paragraph spacing and lists transferred properly
- Images and tables appear as expected
- No sections are missing or duplicated

You can rename, reorder, merge, add, or remove chapters inside Creator Studio.
Use the preview after making corrections to check how the book will appear.

If you selected I already have a finished file, make sure the uploaded PDF or EPUB is complete and publication-ready.
Check that:
- The file opens correctly
- The full manuscript is included

- The formatting is clean and consistent

- The book description is complete and accurate
- The genre and tags are relevant

- The price is correct
- Each format is being submitted separately
- Print settings are correct, if publishing a physical book
- The selling price is higher than the print production cost, where applicable
- You understand how royalties are calculated for the selected format

Use the preview to check for:
- Incorrect spacing

- Missing page breaks
- Chapters starting in the wrong place
- Inconsistent formatting
- Images or decorative elements displaying incorrectly
- Unexpected blank pages or sections
- Any issue that could affect the reading experience
If something looks wrong, return to Creator Studio, correct the issue, and preview the book again.
Finished PDF and EPUB files should be checked carefully outside PubliWrite before they are uploaded.
