How do I publish my book on PubliWrite?

How do I publish my book on PubliWrite?

Once your manuscript is ready, you can submit it for publication from your PubliWrite account.
The publishing flow may look slightly different depending on how your book was created and which format you choose, such as eBook, PDF, paperback, or hardcover.

Before you start

Before submitting your book, make sure that:

  • Your manuscript is complete
  • Your text is formatted correctly
  • Your book title and author name are correct
  • Your cover is ready
  • Your book description is prepared
  • You have chosen your publishing format
  • You have reviewed the price and author details

If your book is not ready yet, return to the editor or update your files before continuing.

Publishing a book written in PubliWrite’s editor

If you wrote your book directly in PubliWrite:

  1. Open the book you want to publish.
  2. Click Publish in the top-right corner of the editor.
  3. Choose the format you want to publish.
  4. Complete the required book details.
  5. Upload your book cover.
  6. Review the overview page.
  7. Click Submit for approval.

After submission, your book will be reviewed by the PubliWrite team before it becomes available to readers.

Choose how you want to create or upload your book

From your Writing Dashboard, click New book.
You can then choose from three options:

Option

Best for

Start writing from scratch

A new manuscript you want to write and edit directly in Creator Studio

Import a Word document

An existing .docx manuscript you want to continue editing in Creator Studio

I already have a finished file

A completed PDF or EPUB that is ready for publication and does not need editing in Creator Studio

Publishing a book created in Creator Studio

This applies to:

  • Books started from scratch in Creator Studio
  • Word documents imported into Creator Studio

Once your manuscript is ready:

  1. Open the book in Creator Studio.
  2. Review your chapters and formatting.
  3. Use the preview to check how the book will appear.
  4. Click Publish in the top-right corner.
  5. Choose the format you want to publish.
  6. Complete the required book details.
  7. Set the price and author information.
  8. Upload the required cover files.
  9. Review the submission overview.
  10. Click Submit for approval.

Your book will then enter PubliWrite’s review process.

Importing and publishing a Word document

If your manuscript is saved as a Word document and still needs editing:

  1. Go to your Writing Dashboard.
  2. Click New book.
  3. Select Import a Word document.
  4. Add your working title and genres.
  5. Click Open Studio.
  6. Upload your .docx file.
  7. Click Import & detect chapters.
  8. Review the imported text and detected chapters.
  9. Continue editing and formatting the manuscript in Creator Studio.
  10. When the book is ready, click Publish and complete the publishing flow.

Word documents imported this way remain editable inside Creator Studio.
Before publishing, check that headings, chapters, paragraphs, images, and other formatting elements transferred correctly.

Publishing a finished PDF or EPUB

If your manuscript is complete and does not need editing inside Creator Studio:

  1. Go to your Writing Dashboard.
  2. Click New book.
  3. Select I already have a finished file.
  4. Choose the publishing format.
  5. Upload your final PDF or EPUB.
  6. Complete the required edition information.
  7. Add your description and book details.
  8. Set the price and author information.
  9. Upload the required cover files.
  10. Review the submission overview.
  11. Click Submit for approval.

Finished PDF and EPUB files cannot be edited inside Creator Studio.
If changes are needed, update the original file outside PubliWrite and upload the corrected version before submitting.

Choosing a publishing format

During the publishing process, you can choose the format you want to publish, depending on what is available for your book.
Available formats may include:

  • eBook
  • PDF
  • Paperback
  • Hardcover

Some formats require additional information before submission.

Publishing an eBook

For eBooks, you will need to provide details such as:

  • Edition information
  • Book description
  • Price
  • Author details
  • Cover image

You can also choose to publish under a pen name.
The cover image is the public cover that appears in the marketplace.

Publishing a PDF

The PDF publishing flow is similar to the eBook flow.
However, for PDFs, you may also need to provide the page size so the file can be displayed correctly.

Publishing a paperback or hardcover

Print books require a few extra settings because they need to be prepared for physical production.
For paperback or hardcover books, you may need to complete details such as:

  • Page size
  • Lamination type
  • Text stock
  • Print pricing
  • Marketplace cover image
  • Print-ready PDF cover

A minimum price will be calculated based on the production cost of the book. Your final price should be higher than the minimum production cost so royalties can be calculated correctly.

Cover requirements

Depending on the format, you may need to upload different cover files.
For marketplace display, you need a book cover image that will appear on your book page.
For printed books, you also need to upload a print-ready PDF cover that will be used for production.
Make sure your cover includes the correct title and author name before submitting the book.

What happens after submission?

After you click Submit for approval, your book enters PubliWrite’s review process.
The PubliWrite team will review the submission to check whether the book meets platform, formatting, technical, and content requirements.
You will be notified once your book is approved or if changes are needed before publication.
