How do I set my manuscript title, description, and PubliAgent instructions?

Alongside your Formatting settings, the editor's settings menu also has a Manuscript tab and a PubliAgent tab, where you can set your book's title and description, and give PubliAgent instructions for how it should write and refine text on your behalf.

Manuscript settings

Open the Manuscript tab to set:

  • Title — your book's working title
  • Description — a short manuscript description

Click Save to apply your changes.

Why add a manuscript description?

Your manuscript description gives PubliAgent a quick brief about your book, so its Write and Refine tools can stay on track and produce suggestions that fit your book, rather than generic text.

PubliAgent settings

Open the PubliAgent tab to add Manuscript-wide instructions. Use this field to describe your voice, tone, and any do's and don'ts you want PubliAgent to follow whenever it helps you write or refine text in this manuscript.
For example, you might note a preferred point of view, a tone you want to avoid, or specific words or phrases you don't want PubliAgent to use.
Click Save to apply your instructions.

How do these settings affect PubliAgent?

Once saved, your manuscript description and manuscript-wide instructions apply across the whole book, so you don't need to repeat your preferences every time you use a PubliAgent tool. If PubliAgent's suggestions don't match what you had in mind, revisit these settings and refine your instructions.
