What can authors do on PubliWrite?

What can authors do on PubliWrite?

PubliWrite gives authors tools to create, prepare, publish, sell, and manage their books from one platform.
You can start a new manuscript, import existing work, collaborate with others, prepare your book for publication, and track your sales and earnings.

Start or import a manuscript

When creating a new book, you can choose the option that matches the stage of your manuscript.
You can:

  • Start writing from scratch and create your manuscript directly in Creator Studio
  • Import a Word document in .docx format and continue editing it in Creator Studio
  • Choose I already have a finished file to upload a completed PDF or EPUB that is ready for publication

Word documents imported into Creator Studio remain editable.
Finished PDF and EPUB files are uploaded directly through the publishing flow and cannot be edited inside Creator Studio.

Write and edit your book

Inside Creator Studio, you can:

  • Write and edit your manuscript
  • Add, rename, reorder, or remove chapters
  • Organize your book structure
  • Format text and chapter titles
  • Add comments and notes
  • Review your book before publication
  • Use the preview to check how the book may appear

These tools are available for books started from scratch and Word documents imported into Creator Studio.

Use PubliAgent writing tools

PubliAgent is PubliWrite’s built-in writing assistant.
Depending on your plan, you may be able to use tools that help you:

  • Refine selected text
  • Continue or draft a passage
  • Find alternative words
  • Summarise selected content

PubliAgent is optional. You remain in control of your manuscript and can review, edit, accept, or ignore its suggestions.

Collaborate with others

You can invite collaborators to work with you on a book project.
Depending on the role assigned, collaborators may be able to:

  • View the manuscript
  • Edit the content
  • Add or reply to comments
  • Help organize and format the book
  • Contribute as a co-author or editor

The number of collaborators you can invite depends on your PubliWrite plan.

Manage changes and version history

PubliWrite saves changes as you work and provides version history for editable manuscripts.
You can use version history to:

  • Review previous versions
  • Track how the manuscript has changed
  • Restore an earlier version if needed
  • Continue working without losing newer saved versions

Prepare your book for publication

Before submitting your book, you can complete the information needed for publication, including:

  • Book title
  • Author name or pen name
  • Book description
  • Genre and language
  • Edition details
  • Cover files
  • Publishing format
  • Price
  • Print settings, where applicable

If your manuscript is editable in Creator Studio, you can also use the preview before submitting it.

Publish in different formats

Depending on the available publishing options, you can submit your book as:

  • eBook
  • PDF
  • Paperback
  • Hardcover

Each format must be submitted separately because its files, pricing, covers, and production requirements may differ.
All submitted books go through PubliWrite’s review process before becoming available to readers.

Publish under a pen name

You can create and manage pen names from your PubliWrite dashboard.
During the publishing process, you can select a pen name to display publicly instead of your legal or account name.
Your private account and payment information will still be used for verification and payment purposes.

Sell your book through PubliRead

Once approved and published, your book can become available to readers through PubliRead.
Depending on the formats you publish, readers may be able to:

  • Read the digital version through the platform
  • Purchase a PDF
  • Order a paperback
  • Order a hardcover
  • Add the book to their wishlist
  • Leave a review after purchasing

Track sales and earnings

From the Sales & Finance section of your account, you can track information such as:

  • Units sold
  • Revenue
  • Pending earnings
  • Available earnings
  • Fiat balance
  • Crypto balance
  • Refunds or returned orders, where applicable

Earnings may remain locked for 45 days after a sale before becoming available for withdrawal.

Manage royalties and collaborators

As the book owner, you can manage your collaborators and, where applicable, divide royalties between eligible co-authors.
The total royalty allocation must equal 100%.
Your final earnings depend on your PubliWrite plan, book format, selling price, and any print production costs.

Update or remove a published book

Published books cannot currently be changed directly from your dashboard.
If you need to update a manuscript, cover, price, author information, book details, or print files after publication, contact the PubliWrite team.
You can also contact the team if you want to discontinue sales of a published book.

Promote your book

PubliWrite provides resources and opportunities that can help authors improve their visibility.
You can:

  • Share your PubliRead book page
  • Use social media to promote your book
  • Improve your cover and description
  • Collect honest reader reviews
  • Prepare a book launch
  • Apply for PubliWrite’s Promotion Program
  • Ask to be considered for selected features or campaigns

Promotional opportunities can increase visibility but do not guarantee sales or specific results.
