How does PubliWrite moderate reviews and content?

PubliWrite may review books, reviews, comments, reports, and other platform content to help keep the community respectful, safe, and useful for authors and readers.

Moderation helps make sure public content follows PubliWrite’s community, review, and content guidelines.

Why does PubliWrite moderate content?

PubliWrite moderates content to help prevent:

  • Abusive or hateful content
  • Harassment or personal attacks
  • Spam or misleading information
  • Fake or manipulative reviews
  • Copyright or ownership issues
  • Content that breaks platform rules
  • Content that may harm the reader or author experience

The goal is to support a fair and respectful environment for everyone using PubliWrite and PubliRead.

What content may be reviewed?

The PubliWrite team may review different types of content, including:

  • Book submissions
  • Book descriptions
  • Book covers
  • Reviews
  • Reported books or reviews
  • Public author or pen name information
  • Content reported by users
  • Content that appears to break platform guidelines

Are reviews moderated before they appear?

Reviews go through a review process before they appear publicly.

This helps make sure reviews are:

  • Honest
  • Relevant to the book
  • Respectful
  • Based on a real reading experience
  • Free from spam, abuse, or manipulation

If a review does not follow the guidelines, it may be rejected, hidden, removed, or returned for changes.

What happens when content is reported?

When a user reports a book, review, or other content, the PubliWrite team will review the report and decide whether action is needed.

Depending on the situation, the team may:

  • Leave the content unchanged
  • Ask for more information
  • Ask the author or reviewer to make changes
  • Hide or remove the content
  • Reject a book submission or review
  • Take further action if the issue is serious or repeated

Does moderation mean my content will be changed?

No. PubliWrite does not rewrite your book, review, or public content during moderation.

If something needs to be corrected, the team may ask you to update it yourself or may explain what needs to be changed before the content can appear publicly.

Will I be notified if content is removed or rejected?

When possible, PubliWrite may notify you if your book, review, or content is rejected, removed, or requires changes.

In some cases, the team may not be able to share every detail, especially if the issue involves another user, a report, or privacy and safety concerns.

Can I appeal or ask for clarification?

If you believe a moderation decision was incorrect, or if you do not understand why something was rejected or removed, you can contact PubliWrite support at info@publiwrite.com.

Include:

  • The content you are asking about
  • A link or screenshot, if available
  • A short explanation of your question
  • Any details that may help the team review the case

Important note

Moderation decisions are made to protect the quality, safety, and fairness of the platform.

Not all reported content will be removed. If content does not break PubliWrite’s guidelines, it may remain visible even if another user disagrees with it.
