What happens if a collaborator does not accept my invitation?
What happens if a collaborator does not accept my invitation?
If a collaborator does not accept your invitation, they will not be able to access or work on your book.
The book project will remain unchanged, and you can continue writing, editing, or managing the manuscript without them.
Can they still access the book?
No. A collaborator only gets access to the book after accepting the invitation.
Until then, they cannot:
- View the manuscript
- Edit the manuscript
- Leave comments
- Access version history
- Collaborate on the project
What should I do if they did not receive the invitation?
If your collaborator did not receive the invitation, ask them to check:
- The email address you entered
- Their spam or junk folder
- Whether they are checking the correct inbox
If needed, you can send the invitation again.
Can I invite someone else instead?
Yes. If the collaborator does not accept or you decide to work with someone else, you can invite another person, as long as you are within the collaborator limit for your plan.
