How do I remove or manage collaborators?
Book owners can manage collaborators from the editor by opening the book’s sharing settings.
From there, you can review who has access to the book, check their role, and remove collaborators who should no longer have access.
Who can manage collaborators?
Only the book owner can manage or remove collaborators from a book project.
Collaborators who are not the owner cannot remove other collaborators or manage access.
How to manage collaborators
To view and manage collaborators:
- Open the book in the editor.
- Click the Share button.
- Review the list of current collaborators.
- Check each collaborator’s role and access level.
If you need to change what a collaborator can do, update their role where available.
How to remove a collaborator
To remove a collaborator:
- Open the book in the editor.
- Click the Share button.
- Find the collaborator you want to remove.
- Click the Delete icon next to their name.
- Confirm the action, if prompted.
Once removed, the collaborator will no longer have access to the book.

Important note
Removing a collaborator only removes their access to the book going forward. It does not necessarily remove edits, comments, or contributions they made while they had access.
If you want to work with the same person again later, you will need to send them a new invitation.
