Theme: The theme of the contest is Women. This theme celebrates the diverse identities, struggles, triumphs, and everyday moments that define what it means to be a woman. We invite writers to explore the vast spectrum of womanhood through their stories. Fiction or nonfiction, historical or futuristic, personal or imagined, we want narratives that reveal the many faces of women—their strength, vulnerability, ambition, and spirit. The goal is to give voice to the depth and diversity of women’s experiences. Writers can draw from their own lives, historical figures, fictional characters, or even speculative concepts.

All submissions must be entirely original, created by the author without the use of AI tools or plagiarism.

How do I manage changes and version history?

Tracking changes and accessing version history allows you to keep the editing process organised and ensures that no work is ever lost. The platform automatically saves revisions, giving you a clear record of the manuscript's development over time. Here’s how you can effectively manage changes and use version history:

Automatic Saving and Versioning

Every edit made in the manuscript is automatically saved, creating a new version and multiple versions are merged at regular time basis. This means you can freely make changes without worrying about losing progress. Each version captures a snapshot of the document, allowing you see differences between a previous version and what you currently have.

Accessing Version History

To view the version history, open the 'Collaboration' tab on the right and then select 'Versioning'. You’ll find a list of all previous versions, along with timestamps and the names of collaborators who made the changes. This lets you see how the manuscript has evolved over time.

Restoring Previous Versions

If you need to revert to an earlier version of the manuscript, you can do so easily from the version history. Simply select the version you’d like to restore, click on the ":" icon and select 'Restore this version. Restoring a previous version doesn’t delete newer changes; instead, it sets the 'Current version' to the version you reverted to. You'll still be able to see what you reverted from in the version history.

Book Pricing and Author Earnings

Author-Set Pricing:

When publishing a book, authors have full control over setting its price, allowing them to decide the value they believe reflects their work.

Platform Fee:

Our platform takes a 10% fee on each sale made through our marketplace. This fee helps maintain platform quality and provides the resources needed to promote books and support authors.

Earnings and Withdrawals:

After each sale, the remaining 90% of the book’s price is added to the author’s dashboard and will be available for withdrawal after the refund period ends. In the author dashboard, under Orders & Finances you'll be able to see units sold, units returned and the funds you accumulated.

Refund Period

Locked Earnings:

To ensure security and provide a fair experience for readers, all earnings enter a locked refund period immediately following a sale. Once this period ends, funds become accessible in the author’s dashboard for withdrawal. You can read more about the refund period and locked earnings in the corresponding article

How can I collaborate on PubliWrite?

Authors can invite up to 5 collaborators to contribute to a book, allowing everyone to edit the content together in real time. The platform provides full visibility into who is actively making changes, ensuring a seamless and interactive collaborative experience.

1. How to invite a collaborator

To invite collaborators, open your book in the editor and click the 'Share' button located at the top right corner. Enter the email address of the person you'd like to invite, and select their role (editor, viewer, or author). The permissions for each role are explained in the next section, 'Types of Collaborator Access.'

After you send the invitation, what happens next depends on whether or not the person already has an account on our platform:

New users will receive an email prompting them to join and start collaborating. You’ll see their invitation marked as 'Pending' in the collaboration section.
Existing users will have the book instantly available on their dashboard.

2. Types of editor access

When it comes to working in the editor there are four roles a user can have, each with different levels of access:

Owner

The owner is the person who originally created the book and holds the highest level of access. This role is exclusive to the creator
