# How do I order author copies of my book?
Author copies are printed copies of your own paperback or hardcover, made just for you. If you've published a print edition, you can order copies of your own book directly from your dashboard — from picking titles all the way through to tracking the parcel.

## Before you start
You need a published print edition (paperback or hardcover) to order author copies. If you don't have one yet, you'll see a short explainer with a link to publish a print edition instead of the order form.
## Where to order author copies
1. Log in to your PubliWrite account.
2. Go to **Author copies** in your dashboard.
3. Click **Publish a print edition** if you don't have one yet, or continue to place an order if you do.
Author copies are:
* Printed on demand, with no minimum order
* Based on your published print price, plus delivery
* Shipped worldwide, straight to your door

## Bulk orders
All your author copy orders live under **Bulk orders**, where you can start a new order and see every order you've placed.

## Step 1: Books, quantities & address
Add one or more of your published books to the order. For each book:
* Choose a quantity using the quick-pick amounts (10 / 50 / 100 / 250 / 500), or type a custom number
* Add another book to the same order if you want copies of more than one title
You can also see and apply **volume discounts** as you go — discounts apply per book:
* 3% at 100 copies
* 5% at 250 copies
* 10% at 500 copies
The order summary updates live as you adjust quantities, and nudges you when the next discount tier is within reach (for example, "90 more of this book for 3%").
Choose or add a shipping address, then continue to the next step.

## Step 2: Production & shipping
Choose your production speed:
* **Standard** — included, longer dispatch time
* **Express** — faster dispatch, additional cost
Then choose a delivery method. Available carriers and estimated arrival dates depend on your shipping address, and the delivery cost is quoted based on your order's total weight.

## Step 3: Payment
Pay for your order using:
* Card
* Bank transfer
* Amazon Pay
If you pay by bank transfer, you'll be redirected to a page with instructions to complete your payment securely. Payments are encrypted and processed by Stripe.

## Order tracking and receipts
Every order gets its own page, where you can see:
* A progress timeline: placed → at the printer → handed to carrier → delivered
* Parcel tracking
* A breakdown of what was paid
* An invoice you can download
If an order is cancelled, the order page clearly shows what was refunded.

## Reordering
To repeat a past order, open it from **Bulk orders** and click **Order these again**. This recreates the same books and quantities in a new order, which you can review and adjust before checking out.
